Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers make significant contributions to Peerless Rockville by welcoming and informing the public, assisting the office staff, and educating the public about Rockville’s heritage. Peerless currently needs volunteers who are familiar with Microsoft Office Suites and data entry. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete a volunteer application and send it to info@peerlessrockville.org.
Seasonal Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking for a small project that can make a big impact? Peerless is always in need of extra help with our ongoing seasonal projects, such as assisting in:
- Maintenance projects at Peerless’ historic properties
- Newsletter and membership mailings
- Peerless events
Internships
Peerless can provide unpaid internships for students who want to receive hands-on training in all aspects of collections management as well as other areas of museum work. Applicants can be high school students that are currently taking Advance Placement courses, or students enrolled in an undergraduate, or graduate program in museum studies, history, historic preservation, or a related field. Student Service Learning hours can be earned or academic credit may be available through your home institution. Applicants will be expected to complete an average of 8 hours a week. Days and hours are flexible. Those interested may send a cover letter and resume to info@peerlessrockville.org.
