This year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and Montgomery County! Peerless Rockville is preparing to commemorate this landmark anniversary with special programming: Rockville 250: Our American Story.
Together with the Rockville community, the City of Rockville, and our business partners, Peerless Rockville will explore how national themes in American history have unfolded in Rockville over the last two and a half centuries. Rockville 250 will tell the stories of the people and places in Rockville that show our nation’s history.
Rockville 250: Our American Story Pictorial Exhibit
Peerless Rockville’s pictorial exhibit “Rockville 250: Our American Story” marks two and half centuries of the United States and Montgomery County, tracing American history as it happened in Rockville. Learn how Rockville grew with the nation, from its revolutionary days, through the antebellum era of slavery and fight for emancipation, into the mid-century baby boom with suburbanization, to become today’s modern and diverse 21st century City. This place-based exhibit highlights the sites and people that reflect American history in Rockville.
