Founded in 1974 to advocate for local historic resources, we encourage our fellow Rockville residents to recognize and admire the history that is woven throughout the community. With a long history of preservation, education, and advocacy we seek to learn, understand and share the diverse history of the city where we live and work.
Our Mission
Peerless Rockville Historic Preservation, Ltd. is an award-winning nonprofit, community-based organization founded in 1974 to preserve buildings, objects, and information important to Rockville’s heritage. Peerless Rockville advances its goals through education, example, advocacy, and community involvement.
Our Vision
We endeavor to tell a more complete and compelling story of Rockville, Maryland that brings an inclusive history of Rockville to the public. Our team of community professionals and volunteers are motivated to engage fellow residents in the history that exists all around them and cultivate the drive to learn more and educate others.
