Proposals are requested for the renovation and rehabilitation of the historic Montrose Schoolhouse, located at 5721 Josiah Henson Parkway, Rockville, MD. Work includes renovation of the interior of the school to provide layout, code and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) required updates to return the building to active use as an educational facility.   

The Project is partially funded by the MD Historical Trust. All work must comply with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and all State regs., incl. EEO.  5% Bid Bond & 100% Performance & Payment Bonds required. 

The request for proposal (RFP) for this Project can be obtained by sending a request via US mail to PO BOX 4262, Rockville, MD 20849-4262; or via email to montrose@peerlessrockville.org.  All communications shall be made to the owner’s representative: Nancy Pickard, Executive Director of Peerless Rockville.  Proposals are due by 5:00PM July 9 in accordance with the instructions set forth in the RFP. 

The contract award will be based on the lowest-priced proposal received by a qualified firm conforming to project schedule.
