As the COVID-19 pandemic makes trying times, we thank our members and donors for their continued support – any additional help you can give now will be doubled and thus go even further! Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Council has made $200,000 in COVID-19 Emergency Relief Matching Funds available – 100% of your donation to help Peerless Rockville will be matched through June 30, 2020 through Power2give.
Help Peerless Rockville share History@Home!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Peerless Rockville Historic Preservation closed our offices and exhibits in the Red Brick Courthouse on March 16, 2020. All March and April events have been postponed, including fascinating lectures on escapes on the Underground Railroad, women in Rockville’s history, and the archaeology of Josiah Henson Park.
The Peerless Rockville staff is working remotely to continue to serve the public in new and innovative ways and we need your help NOW to take our photographs, information, and archives digital. With your donations, we will transform selected parts of our massive collections of objects, maps, and images into content accessible on-line
This closure and the loss of income from our historic Montrose Schoolhouse has severely impacted our funding. Your support through this campaign will provide needed operating funds as well the technology needed to get our new internet content up and accessible.
In times such as these, humanities education is more important than ever.
