Once again, Peerless is partnering with the
Montgomery County Historical Society and the City of Rockville’s Historic
District Commission to bring you an afternoon of historical programs and fun.
Walking tours!
Join Peerless Rockville for walking tours of
Rockville’s past and present. At 12:30 PM, learn about local Civic Architecture
from the Red Brick Courthouse to the Art Deco Bank to 1970s Brutalism. At 2:15
PM, take a West End Stroll and hear about Victorian homes and summer hotels
including Chestnut Lodge, and view a related exhibit.
Yard Sale
Check out museum gift shop bargains, including
prints, posters, note cards, and books. A shopper's delight!

Be sure not to miss an exhibit on that special
category of books that dispense advice on everything from etiquette to household
management. Then get tips from Dr. Stonestreet on curing 19th century summer
ailments and from his wife on keeping cool on hot days. Other features include
lessons for the whole family on deportment and getting along in polite society.
